The Sacred Time

Ah quiet lurks through my house after two little boys have left their mark for the day. Now they sleep. This is the sacred time of a stay at home mom. No matter how may errands need to be run, or place that need to be gotten to, or the other random things that linger on our to do list...Nap time is RARELY missed. We say that it is a must for the cranky toddler (and you know that this is true if the miss it that day) but truly it equally for the worn out mommy. Just when you are at the end of the rope, you look at the clock and oh nap time! If you are lucky they go down without a fight and you plop down on the couch with your five Oreo cookies and a glass of milk (at least that is what I prefer for the next month). Nap time, peaceful bliss between you, God, and whatever else you want.

Six weeks to go

Here I sit typing my first blog and I have six weeks until my world is turned upside down, AGAIN. It truly is amazing how something so small can make such a huge change in your life. I remember back to when our son was born and after the first night we thought we had it made. He slept and we were suprised. It was the next and last night in the hospital that we realized very quickly who was in control. Just when we thought we had things figured out (which we never really do) God suprised us with the prospect of having another baby. About the time we got over our shock of this new expectation we found out that God was suprising us with a little girl. Oh boy! I was not expecting that. Now with a how full of balls and bats (and toddler who obsessive over them) we are adding butterflies and flowers? This will be a very interesting transition for this Clydesdale house hold!
